Christian first had a taste of the art of photography when his father gave him an Olympus Trip 201 film camera. This was back in 1999. As a Cebuano lost in Iloilo, he had difficulties making friends due to language barriers and thus pursued a career in photography to kill time.

With the evolution of photography into the digital format, he kept up with the times and upgraded into his first digital camera just three years after his initiation into the art. It was another Olympus, the u400 4-megapixel, just like his first camera. In fact, he states that he chose Olympus out of love for his first film camera.

Christian ultimately went professional with his newly bought Canon EOS in 2007. Since then, he has had a lot of exposures doing professional photography services.
